This charming traditional inn is located in the village of Alijó, next to the Douro River.
Its name is homage to Joseph James Forrester, an English Businessman, who lived in Portugal during the XIX century and who in 1855 received the title of Baron from King Fernando II due to his dedication to the state and his contribution to the Douro and the Port wine.

For a tasty meal and some boutique house wine they shouldn't have to walk any further then the excellent onsite restaurant.
Afterwards guests can opt for a pleasant stroll in the green garden..
