Vilamoura is a modern holiday destination with a beautiful marina and mediterranean atmosphere, surrounded by parks and 5 of the most famous golf courses in Portugal. Along the marina you find a promenade that is made for car-free shopping and dining. The famous football player Luis Figo owns a bar along here, guess the name! Golf, watersports, horse riding and tennis are just a few activities that Vilamoura offers.
The fine and long sandy beach starts east of the marina and west of the town there is the Praia de Falésia: 5.5 km in length and up to 30 m high red cliff formations that are partly overgrown with green pines which form a terrific contrast and give you the pure Algarve feeling!
